Long nights, impossible dreams

Sleep, I knew thee well.

For her first week, Sahlma slept a lot, at least 20-22 hours per day. We worried she was not getting enough to eat and that she might be sick. Now, three weeks later, she sleeps for a few hours and then is wakeful for a few hours - all day. We worry no more, and look forward to the days when she will sleep for six hours through the night!

Sahlma has put on some weight! At birth: 3kg and 50.5cm, at 4 days: 2.95kg and 49.5cm, and today at 18 days: 3.30kg and 52.5cm. The doctor even said “schwei schwei on the milk” (take it easy). :-)
